Depending on how well you protect your family photos, they can easily
become aged. Until fairly recently, many commercial photo albums were
produced using materials that were harmful to the papers and inks used
for prints. The results were often a yellowing of the original.
Standard glass in a picture frame also causes problems with photos. The
sun can wreak havoc on nearly any paper product over time. The newer non-glare
and anti-reflective glass products prevent this, but for many older photos,
the damage is already done.
This particular example was found while putting together one of our
Photo Medleys on DVD. The photo was discovered in
an older album where it had been aging for a couple decades.
Let's take a closer look at the photo:
We manually corrected the color and removed all of the scratches and other
damage (using our Photo Restoration Services). We
even took the extra time to close someone's zipper! Here you can see the
finished photo:

As can be seen, upon closer inspection, it would be VERY difficult to
even know that the photo had been damaged by aging in the first place...
